David founded Equity38 and is the firm’s Managing Partner. David has more than 25 years experience in principal investing and leveraged finance with a focus on lower middle market consumer growth investing. David formerly served as Executive Chairman of OVME, Executive Chairman / President of Orangetheory Fitness Georgia, and board member of TRX. He currently serves as board member for OVME and Superfood Holdings. Prior to founding Equty38, David was a Managing Director and Operating Partner at Source Capital and worked at Summit Park, Dogwood Equity, Harren Equity Partners and Cowen & Co / SG Capital.
David received a BA from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at UVA. He was the recipient of the T. Rodney Crowley Jr. Scholarship for academic distinction and is a member of the Rotunda and Lawn Societies. David was a four-year member of the UVA men’s soccer team winning 3 NCAA championships and 3 ACC championships with those teams (‘91, ‘92, ‘93). He played professional soccer and was a 1995 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup champion.

Sean oversees all aspects of Equity38, leading investment sourcing, evaluation, and execution, while actively partnering with portfolio companies to drive value creation. He also manages firm operations and administration.
He serves as board observer to Earthbar and was a former board observer to OVME, TRX, and Superfood Holdings. Sean has over 10 years’ experience in investment banking and principal investing with a consumer sector focus.
Prior to Equity38, Sean was an investor at Glencoe Capital and an Analyst in the investment banking group at Deloitte. Sean received a BBA, Finance from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago and was a 4-year member of the Loyola golf team.

Mark is an Operating Executive and advises on medical, health, and wellness strategy at Equity38 across new investments and the existing portfolio. He is an entrepreneur and medical doctor with 20+ years of experience launching, scaling, and exiting consumer-facing ventures across medical aesthetics, real estate, and retail. Mark is Founder and Chairman of OVME, a medical aesthetics enterprise and Equity38 portfolio company. He previously founded and developed ShapeMed which was acquired by LifeTime Fitness.
Mark is a trusted advisor to global aesthetics leaders and board member for institutions shaping education, culture, and innovation (Allergan, Galderma, and Repeat MD). He brings rare crossover expertise in brand creation, capital strategy, and multi-site expansion within startups, family offices, and Fortune 1000 environments. Mark earned his MD from the Tulane University School of Medicine.

Stacie is an Operating Executive and advises on and evaluates new investments and works with Equity38 portfolio companies across a variety of disciplines. She was formerly CEO of Orangetheory Fitness Georgia – an Equity38 portfolio company – where she oversaw strategic direction, resource management, and business performance.
Most recently she served as COO / CAO of Honors Holdings, the largest Orangetheory Fitness franchisee globally. She oversaw 142 company owned OTF units, managed the franchisor / franchisee relationship, led the HR function for 1,500+ employees, spearheaded operational improvements in existing units and led new unit expansion in the UK.
She formerly worked at General Electric managing a region with an operating plan of over $10 million and oversaw sales growth and implementation strategies for the region. She has 20+ years of experience in business development, sales, and operations experience working in software and technology companies including GE, McKesson, Allscripts, and Healthstream. Stacie earned a BS, Business Management & Marketing from North Carolina State University.

James is a founder of Blok Watches, a watch technology company focused on youth time management skills. James is an active private investor in start-ups, assisting early-stage companies with their growth strategies and raising capital.
Previously he served as Managing Director and Global Head of Investments for J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he spent over 20 years. James oversaw all investment solutions including brokerage and managed platforms across a wide breadth, both discretionary multi- and single-asset-class strategies, as well as traditional and alternatives manager selection platforms. He was responsible for overseeing over $400B in client assets and particularly focused on private investment relationships. James was a member of both the Wealth Management Operating Committee and the Asset & Wealth Management Operating Committees. He was previously responsible for investment advisors globally at J.P Morgan. Before that, he served as J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s Head of Investments for Europe and Israel and was the Private Bank’s Head of Investments for the Western and Southern US Regions.
James is a Board Member of Israeli firms Cymptom and New Era Capital and earned his B.A. in History from the University of Virginia.

Con is an Operating Executive and leads brand and creative at Equity38. He evaluates new investment opportunities and partners with portfolio companies to elevate each company’s brand and go-to-market strategy. His mission is to make the phrase “that’s how it’s always been done” obsolete. Con formerly served as Creative Advisor to E38 portfolio companies OVME and TRX.
Con is the Founder of Wilco Collective, a creative / brand advisory firm. He has over 20 years’ experience working with global brands like Denny’s LinkedIn, John Deere, Men’s Wearhouse, Hello Toothpaste, Morgan Stanley, General Mills, Newell Brands, Bo!, Verizon, Puma, Lenovo, Tide, Cheerios, Miller Brewing Company, Dos Equis, Heineken, Jaguar Cars, Kraft, and The Atlantic.
Prior to founding Wilco Collective, he served as President / Chief Creative Officer at EP+Co, Chief Creative Officer at Saatchi and Saatchi, Chief Creative Officer at EURO/RSG, AD at Fallon, ECD at JWT, and Founder / ECD At LODGE 212. Con served in the US Army as a paratrooper.

Sarah has an extensive background in corporate sales, business operations and fitness training. She was previously the Business Operations Manager for Orangetheory Fitness Georgia, Trainer with the Biggest Loser Resort and a Senior Account Executive with Interline Brands (now part of Home Depot).
Sarah has been a competitive runner for over 20 years and has completed numerous marathons, ultra marathons (50k and 100 miles), and IronMan events. She is an avid CrossFitter and has a German short haired pointer named Annie.
